WELCOME DR. STU MUSICK
Dr. Stu Musick was officially hired as Superintendent of Navasota ISD during a special called Board Meeting on December 27, 2016, by the NISD Board of Trustees. Dr. Musick has previously served as Superintendent of Schools at Oakwood ISD and most recently as Superintendent at Hubbard ISD, serving the students and its community since 2014. He has served as a campus principal at both the junior high and high school levels at Waskom ISD and spent 17 years in the classroom where he taught Physics, Chemistry, Applied Physics, Principles of Technology, and Integrated Physics and Chemistry (IPC).
Dr. Musick earned his Doctorate of Education Degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in 2015, his Masters of Education degree from Sam Houston State University and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. Dr. Musick and his wife, Lauren have two daughters, Emma, who is a 2nd grader, and Brennan, who is in Pre-Kindergarten.
“I am extremely honored to be named as Superintendent and excited to be extended the vote of confidence to lead Navasota ISD,” said Dr. Musick. “I am looking forward to working with our students, staff, parents and community to ensure that all students at Navasota ISD have every opportunity to succeed. I am grateful for the opportunity and I look forward to serving the students, staff, and families of this great community.”
