At Monday's special called meeting the Navasota ISD School Board approved a new stipend package for certified special education teachers. The plan includes an elementary and a secondary stipend for certified Special Education teachers in this high need, critical area.
Trustees also approved a market adjustment, plus 1 % mid-point raise to current scales for NISD staff. The decision comes after a thorough analysis of compensation data from districts in the region and like size districts across the state, in order to ensure that Navasota ISD remains competitive in attracting and retaining quality staff.
