On Wednesday, July 9 at 5:00 pm in the NISD boardroom, the NISD School Board will have a called workshop to discuss district facilities. The meeting will include a presentation by the design team from Stantec. The presented information will include input given to designers from meetings with High School and Junior High faculty and staff. The Board will discuss project scope, facility properties, proposed timelines and potential cost. The community is invited to attend the discussion to hear more about the state of current district facilities and potential methods to address facility needs. After the presentation and board centered discussion, the board may dialogue with and take comments and questions from the audience.
The focus of this workshop is to gain direction and examine timelines for addressing facility needs. There has not been a determination to proceed with any future bond proposals. The facility deficiencies that existed after the facilities study are still present and the district is discussing methods for addressing those needs.
