Planning Advisory Committee Meeting
Navasota ISD would like to invite parents, students, and community members to participate in the Planning Advisory Committee (PAC) that is being put together to develop a Facility Master Plan. Recent assessments of the infrastructure, security, and capacity of our facilities, coupled with a demographics study that indicates that we will have overcrowding issues as soon as 2015, by current enrollment trends, has led the Navasota ISD Board and Administration to begin this process. Recent news about businesses and possible highway changes may affect enrollment, as well. We would like you to be a part of the planning process outlined below.
December 19, 2013, at 6:00 pm, in the Junior High Library, an introductory meeting for PAC Participants will be held . At this meeting, we will discuss the process, introduce the key participants, set some general outlines of the plan.
January 6, 2014, at 6:00 pm, in the Board Room in the Administration Building, the second meeting of the PAC will be to respond to input, develop options, and look at cost projections.
January 23, 2014, at 6:00 pm, in the High School Cafeteria, the third meeting will be to look at responses to surveys, and determine current and future program options.
February 10, 2014 at 6:00pm, in the Board Room in the Administration Building, the fourth meeting will be to narrow to one option, prepare budget plan, and develop presentation for the school board.
February 17, 2014, at 6:30pm, in the Board Room in the Administration Building, the PAC will make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees.
